LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- Bobby Juan hit a three-run insurance home run, and the Loggers kept their playoff hopes alive on Saturday night with a 6-2 win over the Wisconsin Woodchucks.
Onalaska alumnus Tyler Adams gave the Woodchucks a 1-0 lead with an RBI in the first inning. Wisconsin took a 2-1 lead into the 7th inning.
The Loggers had something to say about that. Nick Day blasted a two-run home run to give La Crosse a 3-2 advantage.
Bobby Juan padded the lead in the 8th. The La Crosse native tore the cover off a hanging curve. Juan's three-run blast put the Loggers on top 6-2.
La Crosse held on to the win. Madison managed to knock off the Lakeshore Chinooks 9-3 on Saturday, meaning the Loggers stand a half-game back of Lakeshore with one game left to play.
