Undated (WXOW)- Americans consumed more than 400-million cups of coffee today. Now, a new study reveals that heavy coffee consumption could increase your risk of death.
Researchers studied the health habits of more than 43,000 adults for roughly 17-years. Among men, those who drank more than four cups of coffee a day, whether it was regular or decaf, had a 20-percent higher risk of death from any cause. For those younger than 55, the risk was even higher.
The author of the study concludes, coffee drinkers tend to be more stressed. They get less sleep. They're also more likely to smoke and skip exercise. All of these factors my play a role.
