LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW)—The Open Air Classic Topless Tour made its way through the La Crosse area today.
The ride attracted about 400 people from all over the country to enjoy the open roads with the tops of their convertibles down.
The first stop was Rudy's Drive-in, and then headed off to the Great River Road.
Whether it's the free wind blowing through their hair or meeting new people everyone has a favorite part.
"Getting lost," Wayne Gerber, from St. Charles, MO said. "Its seeing all of these different things when you get lost you see all kinds of different things you've never seen."
"Have all these people with friends that we meet here every year," Mark Damon, Menomonee Falls, WI, said. "Meet the same people. We just love driving. You see wonderful places that you don't get to see, you don't know exist without this club."
The group's headquarters are at Stoney Creek Inn in Onalaska. Jean Lunde, Onalaska Tourism Director said the group will bring about $250,000 to area hotels and restaurants.
All 200 convertibles, classics to new sports cars, will be on display in Winona on Saturday afternoon from 3 to 4:30 at Minnesota State College Southeast Technical.
