LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) ------- Gale, Ettrick, Trempealeau came out of the gates blazing in 2012.
Out-scoring opponents 104 to 28 on their way to a 3 and 0 start.
But teams caught up to the Red Hawks new spread attack and sent G-E-T to a 4 and 5 finish.
In the off-season, coach Jon Steffenhagen decided it was one and done for the spread the attack.
Scrapping the offense...and exchanging it for one G-E-T is known for the triple - option.
" Those are the type of kids we have. We got done some decent linemen up front we got some good size. We got some of our running backs back we have our quarterback back, " said Head Coach Jon Stiffen.
"We've always been a pro and an option team. It was a bit of a transition but I think going back since we've had experience in the past just working on it a little bit more we'll get even better at it, " said Erik Van Vleet G-E-T senior.
"I feel that we'll be able to run the option effectively. We're a running team anyway's so I think we'll be able to transition fairly easy," said senior Trevor Sobkowiak.
