Investment chief is state's highest paid employee

Undated, WI (WXOW) - A review of a Wisconsin Department of Administration Database found that the Chief Officer for the state investment board is the highest paid state employee.

David villas' base pay this year is $413,000, he received a $421,000 bonus because the state fund exceeded earnings expectations.

The database shows 27 of the state's top 50 earners are investment board employees.

The review was done by Gannett Wisconsin Media.
