No charges against Wis. bar owner in shooting

MILWAUKEE (AP) - The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office won't file charges against a Milwaukee bar owner who fatally shot an armed robbery suspect.

Police say three suspects tried to rob Kochanski's Concertina Beer Hall at gunpoint last week. Bar owner Andy Kochanski shot 1 of the suspects who died at the scene. The other two suspects fled.

The prosecutor's office said Monday that no charges will be filed against Kochanksi. In a statement, the DA's office says Kochanski's actions "were lawfully permissible in defense of himself and others."

On his bar's Facebook page, Kochanski said he has no regrets about protecting himself and his customers.
