Bangor, WISCONSIN (WXOW) Bangor will assume it's usual role as one of the favorites to win the Scenic Bluffs this season.
The Cardinals are the defending champs after sweeping through the conference slate a perfect 7-0.
7 starters return on both offense and defense.
Bangor will feature the same ground attack that they've used to dominate the scenic bluffs in recent years.
Their will be subtle changes such as size.
This year's squad isn't as big up front as in the past.
"We're quick. That's what I can see. We're quick. We can get off the ball really fast and we can hit," said Cardinals Lineman Ben Puent.
"I think overall we have some pretty good quickness. We don't have anybody with blazing speed. I think from one through 11 on offense and defense we're definitely going to be playing faster overall," said head coach Rick Mullen.
"We have good tempo. I think our chemistry is going well too. It's going to help throughout the season. We're just going to try and limit mistakes," senior running back/defensive back Andrew Locking ton.
Bangor opens the season Thursday night at Melrose-Mindoro.
