MADISON (WKOW) -- The plastic bags you may normally use in grocery stores could potentially disappear from all shops in Madison.
The city is working on a study to see if it's feasible to ban plastic shopping bags.
Members of the city's Committee on the Environment say there is no set timeline for the report, and it has to be approved by other committees.
According to Bloomberg.com, the most recent U.S. city to curb plastic bag use is Los Angeles, but several others have also eliminated their use.
