The bar is always set high for Caledonia FB

Caledonia, MINNESOTA (WXOW) Caledonia comes into to 2013 trying to accomplish a feat done only twice in Minnesota state history, win 4 consecutive state titles.

Over the past 3 seasons, Caledonia has racked up over 40 wins while losing just once.

The Warriors don't return a ton of talent this, only 3 starters return on either side of the ball.

But Ryan Pitts is back.

He was an all-conference performer last year, who rushed for 85 yards in the title game.

With 3 consecutive titles already on their belts the warriors know they will be the team to beat.

"We talk about that a little bit, you know the target seems to keep getting bigger and bigger, we have been saying that the last couple of years, we have really brought that out in the open.and let the guys know we are just like every other team, we also talk about being at the bottom of the mountain and every school in Minnesota they have one goal right now and that's to win a state championship," said head coach Brent Schroeder.

" Everyone asks me if there is pressure, there is no pressure at all, if there is any pressure its good pressure, you know we are high school students and athletes there is not to much in life to worry about," Pitts said.

"I mean we are trying to start at the bottom of the mountain, were a new team new guys were just going to climb our way to the top, were just going to try our to best to do what we need to do," said Warriors running back and defensive back Sam Schulte.

Caledonia begins it's title defense this Friday when they host Chatfield.
