LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - La Crosse will soon be getting a new community state-of-the-art green circle recycling center.
Harter's Quick Clean-Up held a ground breaking ceremony on Thursday for the new facility. The facility will be a full service recycling center and will be open to the public for all residential, commercial, and industrial recycling needs. One of the unique features of this new facility is that it will incorporate single stream material rather than the traditional source-separated material.
"That means that users can deposit all recyclable material into one bin. This includes an additional list of materials that are not traditionally accepted at other recycling facilities including bulky metal, wire, small appliances," says Matt Harter, Business Development Coordinator for Harter's Quick Clean-Up Service.
The new facility is expected to open in the first quarter of next year.
