Caledonia Stuns Chatfield in Comeback Win


CALEDONIA, MN (WXOW) ------- Caledonia extended their win streak to 26 games but by the slimmest of margins, as the Warriors rallied from a 12-0 deficit to knock off Chatfield 19-18.

Down 18-13 late in the 4th quarter, Junior Quarterback Mason DeMorett led the Warriors on a game-winning final drive, capping it with a 1 yard touchdown run.

Chatfield led most of the game and took at 18-13 led when Jacob Neis rushed for a 59 Touchdown run in the 3rd Quarter. Neis rushed for 183 yards and two Touchdowns.

Caledonia led at the half after Touchdown passes from Ryan Pitts and Mason DeMorett. Down 12-0, Pitts threw a half-back pass for a 38 yards Touchdown pass to Sam Schulte to make the score 12-7. Then just before halftime, DeMorett hooked up with Alex Goetzinger for an 11 yard Touchdown to give the Warriors a 13-12 halftime lead. DeMorett finished with 131 passing yards, 1 Pass TD and 1 Rush TD.
