LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - La Crosse's Benedictine Living Community has been holding picnics for both its assisted living residents and nursing home residents for years.
But they had never brought the two groups together at the same time - until Saturday.
Residents, their families and Benedictine staff held a picnic on campus this afternoon. There was music, food and good company.
Benedictine administrator Toni Kettner said Saturday's picnic drew its largest crowd ever at around 300 people.
