4 year old accidentally shot by 6 year old brother


TOWN OF ALMA, WI (WXOW) - A 4 year old Jackson County girl was accidentally shot and wounded by her 6 year old brother.

The Sheriff's Department says it happened at 9:30 am Friday morning in the Town of Alma.

The boy found a loaded shotgun in their home, it discharged when he pointed it at his sister.

The girl suffered non-life threatening injuries to her head.

The children's father took his daughter to Black River Falls Memorial Hospital she was later transferred to La Crosse for additional treatment.

The district attorneys office will decide on possible criminal charges once the investigation is complete.
