JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- A Janesville couple is accused of running a drug house and police say a child was used to carry out some of the deals.
Police say they executed a search warrant at 422 Milton Avenue Tuesday night and 32-year-old Jamie Jacobson and his wife, 27-year-old Jennifer Jacobson were arrested.
JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- A Janesville couple is arrested for running a drug operation, and police say a 12-year-old was used to deliver the drugs.
"During that investigation, officers determined that the resident there, Jamie Jacobson, had used a 12-year-old child to facilitate one or more of his drug transactions," Janesville Police Lt. Keith Lawver says.
The Jacobsons face multiple drug charges and remained in jail Wednesday evening. Lawver says police found marijuana, heroin, prescription pills and other drug paraphernalia inside the home.
Neighbors didn't want to go on camera but weren't surprised by the bust. They say cars came in and out of that house all the time and the 400 block of Milton Ave. has been increasing in crime.
One neighbor tells 27 news the couple has two kids.
Police won't release any information about the 12-year-old involved. "We're not going to identify the child. We see the child as a victim in this instance," Lawver says. He adds that the minor has been taken into custody by Child Protective Services.
Jamie and Jennifer Jacobson are expected to appear in court Thursday.
