UW-L Drops Season Opener to Dubuque


LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The UW-L Football Team fell in their season opener to Dubuque 35-24 at Roger Harring Stadium.

Eagles Quarterback Andy Sires completed 32 of 55 passes for 398 yards and 3 touchdowns but also threw 4 interceptions.

Dubuque did most of their damage through the air, as Quarterback Bryan Bradshaw threw for 326 yards a 3 touchdowns. Bradshaw's favorite target was Tyler Rutenbeck who caught 5 passes for 170 yards.

UW-L falls to 0-1 on the season.  They're back in action next Saturday against North Central College.
