LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) - The UW La Crosse held its first weekly farmers market Monday.
The Students for Sustainability Club put on the event.
Last year it was an earth week activity, and this year they decided to make it a recurring event.
They say they want to make healthy, local food and goods easily accessible to students.
Michael Vogt is a member of the Students for Sustainability and says "Good food will not only make you feel good but also it will help you think better, and you're ready for that test, you're ready for the next exam, you're ready to go to class."
The market will be held at Wittich Field near the clock tower every Monday from 11 am to 3 pm.
The last one will be on October 28th.
