LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The La Crosse Common Council approved a Joint Facility Use Agreement between the City of La Crosse and the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin.
The agreement allows the UW-L baseball program to use Copeland Park as their home field for the next ten years. It also allows the city to have access to the tennis courts on the UW-L campus for its Parks & Recreation Department from June 1st to August 1st for a period of ten years.
The city will also make other park facilities available to the University for purposes of supporting educational classes, recreation and club sports programs, varsity sports programs, coach's public training camps and displaying the UW-L Alumni Association. In return, the University will make available other UW-L facilities to the City's Parks & Recreation Department.
