Undated, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Across the United States, thousands of bridges are in need of repair, including 60 in Wisconsin.
That's according to the latest Associated Press report.
More than 600,000 bridges were tested.
The report shows 7,800 of them are both "structurally deficient" and "fracture critical" which means they do not have enough supporting elements.
In Wisconsin the AP says 60 bridges fall into the danger categories.
The report says this indicates they have a higher risk of collapsing and are deteriorating.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation website states that "structurally deficient" and "fracture critical" does not mean the bridges are necessarily unsafe.
