LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Business partnerships are keys to a successful community and the La Crosse School District awarded the University of La Crosse with for just that.
Monday night at the La Crosse Board of Education meeting UWL was recognized for collaboration and partnership by La Crosse schools.
Students are given access to the tools and resources the University has to offer. While student teachers are given the opportunity to teach in real classrooms.
UWL Chancellor, Joe Gow said, "We try to be good partners with people in the community and so when you win an award like this its very gratifying, because it means we're succeeding."
Chancellor Gow added that he feels that the La Crosse School District should get an award right back because the partnership is mutually beneficial.
