West Salem volleyball enjoying leading role

West Salem, WISCONSIN (WXOW)  West Salem went to Arcadia and took down the previously unbeaten Raiders last night in three straight.

So West Salem now stands alone a top the Coulee at 4-0.

All three games were tightly contested.

But by winning all three the Panthers set the bar high for the rest of the season.

"This group of girls can do anything they can set their minds to. We had some girls that maybe doubted themselves. Everybody pulled together. We did some team bonding this weekend. We knew if we played together and nobody let anybody down and everybody did their jobs and played their roles, they can do anything they want to accomplish," said West Salem Co-Coach Tina Thompson.

"We're a really good team. We've been working really hard. This is what I've been thinking would happen. I'm just glad it's a reality," Said Sophie Wilker, who had 20 kills last night.

West Salem will take on Westby Thursday.
