LA CRESCENT, MN (WXOW)—Just in time for AppleFest this weekend, Corky's unveiled a new mural to welcome people into downtown La Crescent.
It is a picture taken from the northern end of town, showing off the apple orchards, river and bluffs.
The mural was printed on vinyl because that's expected to last longer than paint.
You may recall last summer a car hit the building which has since been remodeled.
The last piece to be replaced was that mural.
"The mural that was there for 20 years," Troy Nolop, Corky's Owner said. "It was used often by people to take pictures from out of town, here's where I am, and it just didn't seem right to have a blank wall there again."
Also shown off Wednesday evening, the official wine of Applefest by River View Winery and Vineyard in La Crescent.
It's a crisp, light, white table wine.
