ROLLA, Missouri (WXOW) - Looking to reverse the trend after losing their first two home games this season, the UWL Eagles headed down to Rolla, Missouri to face Missouri University of Science and Technology.
Despite taking an early lead, the Miners rattled off 27 unanswered points in a 27-14 road loss for UWL.
The first quarter looked good for the Eagles. Ben Hertrampf had a one yard run for a 7-0 lead. Later in the quarter, Zach Wall intercepted the Miners' Reed Brown at the three yard line and ran it in for the touchdown to make it 14-0 La Crosse.
Missouri added a field goal before halftime to make it 14-3. They then added 17 points in the third quarter and another touchdown in the fourth to put the game away.
UWL is now 0-3 on the season, the second time that's happened in the last three years.
The Eagles start WIAC play next Saturday against powerhouse UW-Whitewater.
