WIAC Volleyball teams to support breast cancer awareness

Posted:
MADISON, Wis.--For the sixth straight season, Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) women's volleyball teams will participate in promotions to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

Each of the nine WIAC teams will be involved in at least one promotional event throughout the month of October.  Various promotional activities will take place at each match to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.  Spectators are encouraged to wear pink clothing in support of all those affected by breast cancer.  Over the past five seasons, conference volleyball programs have raised an amazing $113,037 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

The following WIAC matches during the 2013 season will feature the promotions:  UW-Oshkosh at UW-Stevens Point (Oct. 2); UW-Platteville at UW-Eau Claire (Oct. 4); UW-Whitewater at UW-Stout (Oct. 4); UW-La Crosse at UW-Superior (Oct. 4); UW-Whitewater at UW-Oshkosh (Oct. 16); UW-Stevens Point at UW-Platteville (Oct. 16); UW-Stout at UW-River Falls (Oct. 23); UW-Stout at UW-La Crosse (Oct. 25); and UW-Platteville at UW-Whitewater (Oct. 30).
