Parking ramp pay stations not operating in time for Oktoberfest

LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW)—Downtown parking ramp pay stations will not be running for Oktoberfest, as previously reported.

Even though the pay stations have been installed the city is still waiting on software and servers to process payments.

"It's not with out bumps and bruises," Dale Hexom, Director of Public Works said. "There are glitches and we certainly didn't want those kinds of glitches now with in a week of Oktoberfest or even a month. We'd want some time to work that out."

When the stations are up and running, likely in November, the first three hours will be free then it will cost 50 cents an hour.
