La Crosse, Wisconsin (WXOW) --- Oktoberfest officials announce the 2013 Mrs. Oktoberfest is Kenna Christians.
Christians is a retired professional fundraiser from La Crosse. Wednesday night at UW-L at the annual Mrs. Oktoberfest reception Christians was named the 46th person to receive that honor.
She said she is looking forward to visiting schools and nursing homes with the Oktoberfest family.
Women are nominated for Mrs. Oktoberfest, then a panel chooses who will serve the community for the year.
Being Mrs. Oktoberfest means you are a woman who has impacted the community in her profession as well as her volunteer work.
For 30 years Kenna and her family hosted a party along the parade route during the Maple
Christians said she has no intentions of slowing down and is currently helping to create developmental plans for other non-profits in the Coulee Region.
