La Crosse Police issue list of fest do's and don'ts


LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - La Crosse Police want everyone to have a good time while festing. They've issued a list of Oktoberfest do's and don'ts.


 Have Fun

 Follow the Rules

 Drink Responsibly

 Stay with Your Friends

 Remember where you are Staying and where you Parked your Car

 Be Courteous and a Good Neighbor

 Be Patient with People and Traffic

 Have a Fully Charged Cell Phone

 Use the 3rd Street Aid Station for Assistance. (Subway Lot – 3rd/Pearl St.)


 Drink and Drive

 Drink too much

 Disregard 1st Warnings from Law Enforcement

 Ignore Traffic Signs/Signals

 Do things you wouldn't do at home

 Drink to the point of putting yourself or others in danger!

 Lose sight of your friends


Police also remind the public that consumption of alcohol on public streets and sidewalks is illegal. Officers will issues warnings or citations to people seen violating the ordinance.
