LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The City of La Crosse plans reconstruction work on a portion of 33rd Street starting next week.
City Engineer Matthew Gallager said that the street will close between Bentwood Place to Solaris Lane will close for approximately seven weeks starting Wednesday October 2 through the week of November 18.
Gallager said that access to driveways to the homes in that area will be open as construction allows.
The city is upgrading sidewalks and storm sewers along that stretch of street.
Gallager urges drivers in that area to be alert in the area around the construction.
