LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - October is Domestic Abuse Awareness Month. Tonight (10/01) the UW-La Crosse will host a Candlelight Vigil and Speak Out to raise awareness.
The event is free and open to the public. It will honor victims and survivors of domestic violence. You are invited to attend the event at 5:30 PM at the Hoeschler Clock Tower on UW-L's campus. There will be parking available in stadium parking lot C-2.
The event is sponsored by New Horizons Shelter and Outreach Centers; UW-L Student Life/Violence Prevention, Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies Department, and Women's Studies Student Association; Gundersen Health System DV/SA program; and Mayo Clinic Health System Safepath.
