West Salem, WISCONSIN (WXOW) The La Crosse Speedway is gearing up for it's biggest weekend of the year.
The Okotberfest races are back for a 44th season.
The four day event starts Thursday.
But on Wednesday, it was a chance to test the racing conditions in West Salem.
You'll see all divisions you normally see on the Saturday night's.
Plus the ARCA Midwest Tour and several other divisions will race.
It's a showcase for veteran drivers and a proving ground for younger ones.
"It's the biggest race in Wisconsin every year. It's Oktoberfest. It's a huge event. Everybody comes. There's cameras all over the place. People all over the country watch over this race to see who does well. It's going to be good," said Ty Majeski, a 19-year late models driver from Seymour, Wis.
The Racing starts at 6pm Thursday evening and continues through Sunday afternoon with the Oktoberfest 100 slated for roughly 1:30 Sunday afternoon.
