LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - June 9, 2014 is the date to start the trial of a La Crosse man charged with the fatal stabbing of another man at a downtown La Crosse convenience store earlier this year.
Mitrel Anderson was charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide in the death of Demario Lee on June 2 at the Kwik Trip on Cass Street.
At a court hearing on Thursday, Judge Elliot Levine set the trial date for Anderson, who remains in the La Crosse County Jail on a $1 million cash bond. He was arrested in Madison a day after the incident at the Kwik Trip.
