Fallen Wisconsin firefighters remembered


SPARTA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Wisconsin has lost four firefighters in the line of duty in the last year or and today they're being remembered.

Their families gathered at the national, fallen firefighter memorial in Maryland.

Along with the families of other firefighters lost this year.

There will be a candlelight vigil Saturday night honoring, among others, Captain John Colbert of Birchwood, he was 60.

Chief Steven Fritz of the Rothschild Fire Department, also 60, Lieutenant Jamison Kampmeyer, of the Colby Fire Department, he was just 34.

Chief Phillip Mortensen of Brooklyn was 67.
