CASHTON, WI (WXOW) ----------- The community of Cashton came together Friday night in support of one of their own
2010 graduate Jacob Gronemus suffered severe burns from a welding accident earlier this week. To show support, the Eagles' football team wore helmet stickers showing the number 32.
That was Jacob's number when he played.
His brother Mark even donned the number against Bangor in his honor.
The Cashton community sold T-shirts, with proceeds going to the Gronemus family.
I guess the number 32 has become it's more of a, it was just a number that week just a number like any other number. Now it's a symbol of hope and courage. We'll all fight with Jacob. His family is just phenomenal. A great community family and we just trying to do our part to help them out and to give them a sense of unity and support," said Head Coach Caleb Hundt.
