WINONA, Minn. (KTTC)--According to the Winona County Sheriff's Office, County Road 15 and Highway 61 were closed early Saturday morning due to mudslides.
Still, many neighbors were left to clean up the debris. James Donahue lives on Highway 61. His driveway was washed away by the storm system.
"It was pretty savage," said Donahue. "A lot of lightning, a lot of thunder, shook the house shook the window."
Donahue spent most of Saturday repairing his driveway with the help of his neighbor.
"It was pretty much gone-totally gone," said Donahue. Weren't going to get in and out of here without the help of my neighbor with the machine."
Despite his loss, Donahue said it could've been worse.
"I prayed for a rain day off it just cost me a driveway," said Donahue.
Just north of Donahue's home on County Road 15, multiple sections of bluffs had fallen. The roads were reopened by 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
