LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) – The University of Wisconsin – La Crosse inducted four former athletes to the Athletic Wall of Fame Sunday.
The wall honors athletes and coaches for their achievements and enhancement of school tradition.
The recipients included:
"I didn't know that I would be worthy of such an honor. But in the same token, it gave me a sense of gratification that I put a lot of hard work in here – and the individual accolade is nice – but to me it felt more like it was because of my teammates that I was able to attain this honor," Barczak said. He attended UW-L from 1981-1985.
The university created the Athletic Wall of Fame back in 1969.
