Green Bay, WISCONSIN (WXOW) Former UW-La Crosse star defensive back Derek Dreher will get his shot at impressing the Packers decision makers.
Dreher tells News 19 sports that he will be in Green Bay Tuesday for a tryout, likely at safety.
Dreher spent last spring playing professional indoor football for the Omaha Beef where he had five interceptions and returned one for a touchdown.
He was an all-American cornerback at UW-La Crosse playing his final season in 2011.
Dreher also spent time with the Baltimore Ravens organization in 2012, but was eventually released.
The Packers typically bring in free-agents to work out each week.
