LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A child or teen dies or is injured from a gun every 30 minutes, that's according to the Children Defense Fund.
Wesley United Methodist Church in La Crosse is working to stop the violence.
A service Sunday continues the church's anti-violence push.
Former Mayor John Medinger joined members of the community and a representative from New Horizons shelter to speak about violence in our community.
Prayers, song, and a moment of silence was held for children killed through domestic violence in Wisconsin.
