NELSON, WI (WXOW)—A 42-year-old man was arrested for fourth offence of driving while intoxicated after a one car accident on Friday.
Robert Burda, 42, was driving the car when it rolled and landed on its top, on County Highway D near the intersection of County Highway I in the Town of Nelson.
A 16-year-old female, not wearing a seat belt was thrown from the vehicle.
She was airlifted to an Eau Claire hospital with life threatening injuries.
Two other 18-year-old passengers were both wearing their seat belts and were not injured in the accident.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash. Buffalo County Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin State Patrol are still investigating.
