LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) ----------------
The injury news much better for the 25th ranked Wisconsin Badgers.
Gary Andersen is optimistic that Jared Abbrederis will be able to play Saturday at Illinois.
The senior suffered a head injury in the first half of the Northwestern game.
Andersen said the next 48 hours will determine if abby is able to play.
Without Abbrederies the Badgers still threw for 241 yards against Wildcats.
Using unheralded players like Jeff Duckworth, Jordan Frederick and freshman Alex Erickson.
"It's great to see because there's been enough said about them, how there's Jared and the rest of them. Now I feel like they deserve to get the recognition in a very positive way. It's moving in their direction. Now, they just have to keep it up," said Head Coach Gary Andersen.
