Teachers Recognized by Sam's Club

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Coulee Region has great teachers in every school district. Tuesday, five of those teachers in the la crosse school district were recognized for their hard work, thanks to a program called the Teacher Rewards Program from Sam's Club. The program rewards teachers for their dedication to the education of our children. Two teachers from Hintgen Elementary school, Kris Markworth and Kim Thornton were surprised Tuesday morning with a gift basket including a 50 dollar gift card for Sam's Club which they can use to buy supplies for their classrooms.

Mark White, Principal at Hintgen Elementary School said, "They're great representatives of our staff, hard working, great teachers, great skills, and always willing to put in some extra time to make things better for their students."

Also recognized Tuesday were Laura Moore of Northside Elementary, Jeff Hanson of Longfellow Middle School, and Danette Tritch of Central High School.
