Onalaska police department presents "Drugs in our Community"

ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Drug abuse in our community is a growing problem and the Onalaska Police Department is working to spread awareness.

Tuesday night at the Onalaska library, officers Jim Page and Rich Elias gave a presentation called, "Drugs in our Community."  They're purpose was to educate parents and educators on drugs that are prevalent in the coulee region. They shared stories of what they've seen when out on force and explained the effects that different types of drugs have on people. The officers answered many questions on how to deal with the drug problem in the community and how they can make a difference.
