ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) Thanks to a number of local businesses an Onalaska family has, what is essentially, a new home.
The project began as a way for Jessica Apfel Miller to give something back to a deserving family after celebrating 10 years in her business called Rooms by Jess.
Jessica chose the Stage family to receive a one room makeover. Bill and Jenni Stage work a number of jobs to provide for their five children, and Jenni is fighting cancer.
That one room renovation project turned into two rooms. And with the help of other local business people, two rooms led to four and so on. Pretty soon, the Stage family had a new home.
You can see parts of that new home in the attached story from photographer Jimmy Kruckow with some help from Dave Solie.
