Packers' Finley out of ICU w/full feeling in legs, arms

GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- According to multiple reports, Packers tight end Jermichael Finley suffered a bruised spinal cord in his neck on Sunday. Finley tweeted out Monday night that he has full feeling in his arms and legs and was transferred out of the ICU unit. He took to Twitter to thank his fans for support, tweeting "I was able 2 walk to & from the shower today, which was badly needed after yesterday's victory! Thank u again 4 the support, and Go Packers!."

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy updated the media on Monday afternoon on Finley's condition. McCarthy said Finley was performing daily activities and was in good spirits. McCarthy said he visited Finley in the hospital on Sunday night and that the tight end way upbeat and positive.

McCarthy also said it was too soon to know when Finley may be able to rejoin the team.


GREEN BAY (WXOW) --- Green Bay Packer Jermichael Finley remains in intensive care at a Green Bay area hospital following a neck injury during the Sunday game against the Cleveland Browns.

A source tells ESPN so far tests have come back negative and Finley has regained almost all movement.

More tests scheduled for the Packer.

Finley could not move Sunday after sustaining the injury in the fourth quarter of the game.

EMS teams took Finley off the field on a gurney.
