HUDSON, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- A Black River Falls man is dead and his three children are recovering from a car crash Saturday near Hudson.
Wisconsin transportation officials say 38-year-old Scott Shoemaker, of Black River Falls, was killed when he missed a stop sign on Old Highway 35 in St. Croix County near Hudson Saturday and crashed into an oncoming minivan.
Shoemaker's two daughters, ages 12 and 16, and his 14-year-old son were taken to Regions Hospital in the Twin Cities with serious injuries from the crash.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the driver of the minivan was taken to a hospital in Hudson. He suffered non-life threatening injuries.
