La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW) - The La Crosse Loggers are bringing back to the Lumberyard three players from the 2013 team the club announced Thursday.
The team signed catcher Austin Rei (Washington), outfielder Mike Nadratowski (Grand Valley State) and infielder Nick Kanavas (Arizona).
This past season, Rei batted .275 with two home runs and 12 RBI's. He lead the team with a .428 on base percentage. He was chosen to the inaugural NWL Big League Dreams Showcase where professional scouts selected the participants.
Mike Nadratowski also had a solid year for the Loggers. He ranked sixth on the Loggers in batting average (.280), fourth in games played (56), third in at-bats (239), runs scored (41) and hits (67) along with ranking second on the club with 13 stolen bases.
Nick Kanavas started his career with the Loggers in a dramatic way. He hit a homerun in his second official at-bat with the team after signing as a high school senior out of Brookfield, Wisc. He finished the summer with a .261 average.
