EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Adrian Peterson has been off track and the Minnesota Vikings need him to get going.
They also must give him the ball more for that to happen.
Peterson has gained only 90 yards on 23 carries combined over the last two games, both lopsided losses for the Vikings. This week, they host the rival Green Bay Packers, a team Peterson has enjoyed plenty of success against.
Peterson actually has more yards rushing (511) now than he did after the first six games last season (499), when he galloped through the second half to surpass the 2,000 mark and win the NFL MVP award. But he has a long way to go to catch up to that pace.
