La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW) The Eagles will try to do something they haven't done since 2009, win 4 in a row.
A 4th straight win this season will be tough to come by.
The Eagles travel to UW-Platteville this Saturday.
The Pioneers are ranked 11th in the nation in the latest D3football.com poll.
UW-La Crosse on the other hand has gained momentum in recent weeks.
They've beaten ranked teams on the road in the past and a win Saturday would be another sign of a program on the rise.
"It would be a big win for us. Anyone in this conference can beat anyone. We've showed that in the past by beating Oshkosh (in 2011). We can do that again," said center Andrew Hermann.
"We've been waiting as a program to get that type of win. I think Oshkosh in our first year, we went over there late in the year and beat them. I think that was the biggest win we've had against a higher ranked opponent. If you go down there and win this football game I think it shows that grit is for real," said head coach Joel Dettwiler.
The Eagles are 3-5 overall and Platteville is 7-1.
Kickoff is set for 1pm Saturday.
