Blugolds fall to nationally ranked Oshkosh in home finale


EAU CLAIRE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Ranked #8 in the country, UW-Oshkosh hands UW-Eau Claire a 42-14 loss in their final home game of the season.

The Blugolds spotted the Titans a 42-0 lead at Carson Park before getting on the board in the fourth quarter.

Drew Davis snagged a 7-yard pass from QB Joel Newman to put the first Eau Claire points on the board on their first drive of the fourth quarter.  It was the culmination of a six play, 58-yard drive.

Tomah's Joel Sweeney, who racked up 123 yards during the game, scored the other touchdown for Eau Claire with a dramatic 50-yard run with eight minutes remaining.

The Blugolds now head to UW-La Crosse for their season finale.  Kickoff is scheduled for 11:40 a.m.

The game is being carried on WQOW 18 and WXOW 19 starting with the pre-game show at 11:00 a.m.  The game will also be live streamed  online here.
