LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW)—You may see a few more men wearing mustaches this month.
Team Mission Mustache, a group of 53 people, from LHI and TRANE, are sporting their own mustaches to raise money.
Dr. Jim Allman said his team hope to draw attention to the fact every 17.5 minutes a man dies from prostate cancer.
But Dr. Allman said the good news is prostate cancer has a 97-percent success rate in treatment.
"Men sometimes tend to be hard headed about their health issues and don't want to go in," Dr. Allman said. "Think that it will get better on its own and unfortunately it doesn't.
Last year, the team raised $8,000 for men's health issues. Click here to help them raise money this year.
They're hoping to get more businesses on board with Movember and generate some friendly competition, even get a traveling trophy for the local team that raises the most money.
Last year 1.1 million participants raised $147 million globally.
