Badgers like their BCS bowl chances

Madison, WISCONSIN (WKOW)  The dreams of a fourth straight Big Ten title were dashed this past weekend.

But A BCS bowl game is still a possibility.

The Badgers' 20-7 win over Minnesota on Saturday jumped them up from 19 to 15 in the BCS standings.

The Badgers would need to beat Penn State in the finale and slip up into the top 14 to even be eligible for a BCS bowl.

Even then, there's a decent chance they would be left out due to their computer rankings.

Gary Andersen campaigned for his squad this afternoon.
"If they can find a way to win this game against Penn State do I think they deserve this opportunity to play in a BCS bowl game, absolutely.   I don't have a bunch of say in that but I do believe that. I think they've put themselves in the elite of elite position. If they can win on Saturday I think they should be given that opportunity," Andersen said.
The Badgers and Nittany Lions kick off at 2:30 Saturday at Camp Randall.
