BLOOMER, Wis. (AP) - An administrative wing of a hospital in Bloomer is damaged after a fire.
Bloomer Fire Chief Brian Bleskacek says the fire happened around noon Friday at the Mayo Clinic Health System, Chippewa Valley. A worker was welding when hot embers ignited some combustible materials.
WEAU-TV reports (http://bit.ly/IwHbiT ) the hospital part of the building was not affected. But Ed Wittrock of Mayo Clinic Health System says 12 patients were temporarily moved to another part of the building until the smoke dissipated.
No one was injured. The administrative offices have heavy smoke, fire and water damage.
